On Thursday 30th March, the Tim Bannigan Memorial Game was held at Seaforth Oval, with Tim’s Old Seaforthian Mates playing against Manly Allambie Old Boys for The Bannigan Trophy.
For several years, Tim was a valued coach and player at Seaforth who was passionate about playing with his mates. This game is held in Tim’s memory, with PanKind (a charity dedicated to improving the pancreatic cancer survival rate – click here for more info) the chosen charity for this occasion.
There was a great turnout of family and friends, the clubhouse was open and homemade curries were made for spectators to enjoy.
Manly Allambie took the win and the trophy with a score of 2-1 in a game that was friendly but competitive.
Most importantly, it was wonderful to see more money donated in Tim’s name.
Donations to PanKind in Tim’s name are always welcome, please click on the link below.
