MWFA Coach Development Manager

 

Eugene joins MWFA after an impressive career in coach education that has seen him present over 250 coach education courses and workshops for Football Federation Australia (FFA) and Football Federation Victoria (FFV), as well as grassroots clubs throughout NSW, Victoria and ACT.

Eugene is an FFA ‘A’ Licence holder, and has been coaching at all different levels of the game for over a decade, including NTC/State teams, NPL and community clubs, and various academy programs.

From 2012 to 2014 Eugene was the Head Coach of the FFV State Futsal program, First Team coach at Wesley College in Melbourne from 2016 to 2018, and he has also been Technical Director at several large clubs.

James MitchellJames has had a passion for football coaching for many years, first starting out as an U6 coach back in 2006. In recent years, James has furthered his own coaching education through numerous initiatives and has acted as both CCC and Coaching Director. James' main goal is to educate coaches to provide fun and engaging coaching sessions to ensure that young boys and girls have fun, develop their skills, and most importantly have them come back the following year, and if possible enjoy a lifelong involvement with football.
Marilinda WinterStarting as a parent volunteer 12 Years ago, Mim was awarded the Female Coaching Scholarship in 2020, completing her C-Licence in 2021. She has coached junior boys and now coaches junior girls and WPL. Mim has embraced the role of being a CCC at her club and has a passion to find ways to keep junior girls engaged with playing football for the long term and in particular, creating coaching development and training opportunities for teenagers.
Gregor AgicGregor joins MWFA coming from an education and fitness background and has a love for nutrition and exercise. He has been involved with many aspects of football, including playing for nearly 25 years. Gregor has a passion for coaching and his goals are to be a mentor and to assist with the development of current and future football coaches and players.
Sai van WegenSai van Wegen has played in MWFA competitions since the age of 5, mostly with Wakehurst. She has worked for the likes of Sydney FC, Manly United and FNSW, and is currently completing her B-Licence. She has a passion for developing female players and coaches, as she would like to help create more female role models and show there is a pathway to the higher levels of the game.
Catriona OrmondCatriona Ormond has played in MWFA since 2008, mostly with Wakehurst and more recently Seaforth. She has worked in the Manly United Development program in the mixed and women's, and currently coaches a couple of teams at Seaforth. She was a participant in MWFA’s Future Coaches Program, along with having completed her C-Licence. Catriona is passionate about giving all females the opportunity to receive excellent football coaching.
