MWFA is pleased to announce that we are revamping our Female Coaching Scholarship Program in 2023, to make it available to a greater number of current female coaches and those who’ve just gotten involved coaching for the first time during this current season, as well as to provide ongoing mentoring throughout the year. This program will now be referred to as the MWFA Female Mentoring Program, and applications are currently open.
Previous winners of our Female Coaching Scholarship over the last few years will be available as mentors, specifically to provide their support at your team’s training sessions and matches, as well as creating a network of experienced female coaches to learn from within the region. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in MWFA programs and tournaments that we will be hosting during the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Coaches selected for the mentoring program will also have free access to our:
- Female Only MiniRoos coaching course on Thursday April 27 (see here)
- Female Only Skill Training coaching course on Monday May 1 and May 8 (see here)
- Coach Workshop on ‘Coaching Female Players’ on Tuesday May 2 (see here)
Those who show the greatest commitment to their personal development and the development of their players will also be considered for a scholarship to attend the Football Australia C-Licence coaching course which is valued at over $1,000, as well as other development opportunities through MWFA and/or MWFA clubs.
