Match of the Round

WPL Vale v BTH-19Jun2022-2101

U21/1 Grand Final

Seaforth vs Curl Curl B – Sunday 21st Aug, 3:30pm – Cromer Park Field 1

The U21/1 grand final will close the show on Cromer Park field 1 on Sunday afternoon as Seaforth and Curl Curl B battle for the KO Winners title.

Seaforth will be looking to make it two from two after being crowned champions whilst Curl Curl will be vying for an upset.

It could go either way on Sunday as both teams have claimed victory over the other throughout the season. The change from Friday night games to a one off Sunday afternoon will also play a factor.

With two close scores it will make for an entertaining match to watch from the Cromer Park Clubhouse, The Far Post or the Lucas Neil Stand.

Men’s Premier League Semi-Final

CC Strikers vs Narrabeen – Saturday 20th Aug, 3pm – Cromer Park Field 2

We enter the knock-out competition this Saturday and all eyes turn to Cromer Park where both Premier League semi-finals will take place at 2:30pm.

Cromer Park Field 2 is where the match of the round will be held as second placed CC Strikers take on third place Narrabeen.

The teams could not be separated throughout the season with both having a victory and loss against the other.

CC Strikers claimed the first victory back in April however Narrabeen came back in July with a mission and managed to defeat the then undefeated CC Strikers 4-3.

With two close matches in the season this Saturday’s semi-final is set to be a thrilling match which could even see the excitement of extra-time or penalties, however only time will tell.

With everything to win and nothing to lose it will be a match not to miss.

Women’s Premier League Semi-Final

BTH vs Manly Vale – Sunday 21st Aug, 2:30pm – Melwood Field 2

It is another 2v3 final that claims the match of the round title as BTH face Manly Vale to battle for a spot in the women’s premier league grand final.

Travelling to Melwood for a 2:30pm match both teams know what it takes to defeat the other.

Manly Vale started their campaign against BTH strong at the start of the year with a 5-0 victory however BTH found their form and regained the three points in June when they defeated Manly Vale 3-0.

With the teams only finishing three points apart it is anyone’s guess on who will be at Cromer Park next Sunday, but we all know that it will be one great game of football.

Playing directly next to the 1v4 semi-final between Seaforth and Wakehurst, Melwood will be the venue of the day this Sunday.
