Match of the Round

WPL Vale v Beacon-22May2022-1481

Men’s Premier League

Beacon Hill vs Forest Killarney – Beacon Hill Reserve 2 – 3pm

With Pittwater pulling away at the top of the ladder focus has now been drawn to who may fall victim to relegation from the Men’s Premier League.

Unfortunately sitting in the final two places are Beacon Hill and Forest Killarney who will battle it out this weekend in a hope to keep their Premier League dreams alive.

Forest Killarney are sitting last on 13 points and so a win is crucial to being able to move up the ladder.

Although sitting four points ahead of Forest Killarney, Beacon Hill will be looking to further the gap between themselves and last place as the season draws closer to the end.

The two teams only faced each other a couple weeks ago in a mid-week match and the result was shocking to supporters to say the least.

A 7-1 victory to Forest Killarney will have Beacon Hill looking to prove that are a force to be reckoned with whilst Forest will be hoping to narrow the gap on the ladder to only one point.

Women’s Premier League

Beacon Hill vs Manly Vale – Beacon Hill Reserve 2 – 3pm

Beacon Hill will host Manly Vale this Sunday afternoon in an attempt to enter the top four.

With only three games left in the competition neither team can afford to lose the three points that are on offer.

Manly Vale are currently sitting in second place, only one point above third. Three points on Sunday will see them stay in second place however a loss could see a fall to third.

Beacon Hill on the other hand are only three points out of the top four and with fourth placed Wakehurst facing competition leaders Seaforth a win will keep their finals dreams alive.

Last time the teams met the match went in Manly Vale’s favour with a 3-1 victory. After a week off the teams will be eager to take to the field and with a finals campaign on the line it is set to be a high quality entertaining match of football.
