FOREST Killarney’s recent surge up the ladder has continued, this time beating Seaforth 1-0 at Melwood Oval on Sunday.
Hannah Bromley’s in-form squad defended at times as if their lives depended on it, and they were rewarded when Carla Rothwell scored the winner on debut.
“Really happy for the girls, all their hard work is paying off,” assistant coach Larry Bates said.
“We rode our luck at times, but in the end we got the result based on our discipline in defence.”
After five rounds, Forest Killarney are in fifth spot, just one point behind Wakehurst and Manly Allambie.
Elsewhere, Beacon Hill outclassed Brookvale 5-1, Manly Vale impressed in a 4-0 triumph versus Mosman and Kyle Cannon’s Manly Allambie toppled Wakehurst 2-0.
