BROOKVALE showed why they are regarded as the competition yardstick, outgunning arch rivals Pittwater RSL FC 2-0 on Saturday night at Cromer Park.
An own goal on the stroke of halftime set the Blues on their way, and a late penalty from substitute Dan Grant sealed the result.
“This is one of the better teams I’ve been in, our depth is incredible,” Brookie midfielder Grant said.
“We wanted to make a statement against Pitts, and I thought we were pretty comfortable against them.
“We now have three home games in a row which is great, we always like playing at Graham’s.”
Elsewhere, Mosman beat Curl Curl 1-0, St Augustine’s and CC Strikers finished 2-2, Wakehurst shocked Dee Why 2-1 on the road and Seaforth stunned Narrabeen by the same score.
