BROOKVALE have the rest of the MWFA Premier League nervously looking over their shoulders after they beat Wakehurst 2-1 on Saturday at Graham Reserve.
The win lifts the Blues to fifth and coach Simon Euers is convinced they can find another gear.
“We have been unlucky in the first half of the season,” he said.
“Defensive lapses have cost us.
“I was happy with Saturday’s game, it is the first time we have won back to back all year.
“Wakehurst are a good side – quick and very enthusiastic.
“The second half of the competition should be great, it is very even.”
Ben Howell and Johnny Hall were on the scoresheet for Brookie.
Elsewhere, Pittwater RSL FC outclassed Seaforth 3-1 and St Augustine’s hammered Mosman 6-0.
