WAKEHURST coach Paul Juergens has labelled Saturday’s game versus Brookvale at Graham Reserve a “tricky fixture.”
The Blues finally clicked into gear last weekend, hammering Manly Vale 7-0.
Justin Hayward was among the goals, and the Tigers need to contain the dangerous Brookie striker.
“If he (Hayward) is in the mood, he can be very hard to stop,” Juergens said.
“I thought we were unlucky against Pitts last weekend, it was a clash of two heavyweights, the late goal was harsh on us.
“I consider us a top four side – a win this weekend would confirm that.”
Wakehurst also have the MWFA Challenge Cup final against Curl Curl on Wednesday night at Cromer Park from 7pm.
Other games on Saturday see Pittwater RSL FC take on Seaforth and Mosman entertain St Augustine’s.
It was a weekend reserved for washout games, with Dee Why beating CC Strikers 3-0 and Narrabeen outclassing Manly Vale 4-2 recently.
Those four teams can put their feet up this Saturday.
