IT has taken seven rounds, but St Augustine’s finally clicked as a unit on Saturday, hammering Dee Why 6-2 at Graham Reserve.
Josh Jacka- Easter finished with a hat-trick, while Brendan Ashcroft, Kyle Cannon and Michael Barbalace also scored goals for last season’s grand finalists.
“It was the best we have played all year and has been a long time coming,” Saints coach Nick Tomaino said.
“I was also happy with our bench, they had a big impact.
“Overall we were strong all over the park, especially in the second half.”
Other games saw Pittwater RSL FC score late to beat CC Strikers 3-2, Mosman versus Manly Vale finished 3-3, Wakehurst outclassed Narrabeen 3-0 and Seaforth scored a late equaliser in their 1-1 stalemate with Brookvale.
