MANLY Vale were made to work hard for another three points on Sunday, scoring a late winner in a 3-2 triumph versus Wakehurst.
Jules Waugh gave the hosts a 2-0 lead at David Thomas Reserve, only to see the Tigers quickly make it 2-2.
A draw looked on the cards until Taylor Rand stepped up to be the hero in the 87th minute for Vale.
They now boast a perfect record after six rounds.
“It was our biggest test so far,” Manly Vale co-coach Roland Winter said.
“Wakehurst are a quality side, it was a well fought game.”
Other results saw Seaforth beat HSU 2-0, Beacon Hill defeated Brookvale 3-0 and Avalon outclassed Forest Killarney 5-2.
