CURL Curl’s amazing run continued on Monday night in the MWFA Challenge Cup, beating Mosman 4-2 on penalties at Cromer Park.
Tyson Masters gave the underdogs from the AL/1s competition an early lead in the second semi-final, only to see the Whales equalise in the second half.
With no extra time, Anthony Seminara’s squad held their nerve in the shoot-out, with Shaun Bowden slotting home the decisive effort from 12 yards.
“I was happy for the players, but also for the club,” the Curly boss said.
“I thought we deserved the win, it looked like being one of those nights where the ball wouldn’t co-operate for us, we created so many chances.
“Wakehurst in the final will be a huge ask, they are a quality side with so much experience in big games.
“Our boys will do their best and look to make the club proud.”
The final is on Wednesday, June 7 at Cromer Park.
