MANLY Vale sent out an ominous warning to the rest of the competition after thumping Brookvale 4-1 on Sunday at Graham Reserve.
In the off-season, coaches Tony Bruzzano and Roland Winter merged their A and B teams from 2016 and they looked sharp against the Blues.
Jules Waugh found the back of the net twice, with Cassie Davies and Sarah Moyer also on the score sheet.
“It was a very encouraging performance first up,” Winter said.
“We dominated from start to finish.
“I think we will only improve once combinations start to click.”
Elsewhere, Beacon Hill trounced Seaforth 4-1, Forest Killarney outclassed Harbord Seasiders United 3-0 and Avalon v Wakehurst was a 0-0 stalemate.
