NARRABEEN are in the box seat to secure back to back MWFA Premier League titles after they beat Wakehurst 3-1 on Saturday at Melwood Oval.
Josh Lawson gave them an early lead, only to see the Tigers equalise thanks to a penalty from Dave Burnage.
Adam Foti then came off the bench to put the Beanies 2-1 up, with fellow striker Justin Hayward adding a third late.
“It was a good team performance, we didn’t panic,” Narrabeen skipper Mark Femia said.
“Wakehurst are a good side, we had to work hard to secure the three points.”
Elsewhere, Pittwater RSL FC did just enough to win 4-3 versus Dee Why, St Augustine’s thumped Manly Allambie 8-0 to move into the top four, Mosman edged out Brookvale 1-0 and Manly Vale hammered Seaforth 4-1.
Narrabeen and Pittwater (32 points) lead the way ahead of Manly Vale (31) with one round remaining.
