BEACON Hill are on course for a serious crack at the minor premiership following a six point long weekend.

On Sunday they edged out Seaforth 1-0 before backing up on Monday to beat Avalon 5-3.

Jess Wootton finished with a hat-trick versus the Reds and Beacon Hill coach Vince Vescio didn’t hide his delight when reflecting on the back to back wins.

“The girls played well, and we will only get better with a few more players coming back from injury,” he said.

“It is a big ask to play two games in two days, so to win on both occasions was fantastic.”

The other game on Sunday saw Avalon beat Wakehurst 4-0.

Brookie had the bye and Manly Vale A had the afternoon off with Manly Vale B playing in the State Cup.

Monday saw Wakehurst and Manly Vale A finish 0-0 and Brookie dusted an injury hit Manly Vale B 9-0.

Seaforth had the bye.
