IT WAS the upset of the season, yet didn’t shock Brookvale coach Frank Gigliotti.
Not many gave the Blues a chance at Graham Reserve, but it was the Brookie of old last Saturday, thumping a shell shocked Narrabeen 5-0.
“We were too good, Narrabeen were never in it,” Gigliotti said.
“We completely demoralised them, it will do wonders for the team’s confidence.
“Our focus now is building on this performance, it was a long time coming.”
Other games saw Mosman shock Pittwater RSL FC 2-0, Manly Vale outclassed Wakehurst 5-0, Dee Why blitzed Manly Allambie 5-2 and St Augustine’s beat Seaforth 3-2.
