MWFA clubs enjoyed a remarkable day at the 56th Football NSW Champion of Champions Finals, with three of our four Grand Final teams crowned champions at Valentine Sports Park on Sunday 18 October. Pittwater RSL FC, Seaforth FC and St Augustine’s FC lifted trophies, while CC Strikers FC came agonisingly close in a final decided by penalties.
Pittwater RSL FC’s U13 Girls made a spectacular start against Hurstville City Minotaurs, scoring three times in the opening five minutes on their way to a 5 – 0 victory. Starsia Fazzolari-Huynh and Frankie Ryles got on the scoresheet before Claudine Scamps completed a hat-trick to cap a commanding performance and an outstanding Champion of Champions campaign.
Seaforth FC’s U16 Girls claimed their title with a determined 1 – 0 win over Rockdale City Suns FC. Amira Sharannizadeh broke the deadlock with a superb long-range free kick in the 16th minute, and Seaforth held firm through a tense second half to take home the trophy. Having also won the Football NSW State Cup this year, the girls have capped off an exceptional 2026 season with another state title.
For St Augustine’s FC’s U18 Men, the final against Lindfield FC was locked at 1 – 1 until the closing stages. Saints then scored three times in the final ten minutes to secure a 4 – 1 win. Freddie Brown scored twice, with Max Cansick and Will Currie adding the late goals. The Champion of Champions title rounds out a superb season in which the team also won the MWFA league, MWFA Grand Final and Football NSW State Cup.
CC Strikers FC’s U13 Boys battled Western Condors FC to a 0 – 0 draw through extra time, with CC Strikers goalkeeper Hudson Searle producing several outstanding saves to keep his side in the contest. Western Condors won 4 – 2 on penalties, but reaching the Grand Final was a terrific achievement for the Strikers.
From 10 MWFA teams in the semi finals to four Grand Finalists and three champions, it has been a campaign to celebrate. Congratulations to every player, coach, manager and volunteer involved, and thank you to the families and supporters who got behind our teams throughout the competition.
