Manly Warringah Football Association is proud to announce that Piroska Pallos from Dee Why is the winner of a Meritorious Service Award.
Piroska’s involvement with Dee Why began in 2018, when her son started playing for the club’s U11s. The following year, she joined the committee, and has held many roles including Gear & Kit Manager, Canteen Manager, and Treasurer.
She has been described as the “heart and soul” of Dee Why FC, and has been named Club Person of the Year four times. In addition to being the Club Secretary for six years, Piroska is at the ground for over six hours every Saturday during the season, assisting with the canteen and helping wherever she is required.
During the COVID restrictions, Piroska worked tirelessly, checking on the welfare of the club’s junior players and ensuring that all guidelines were met.
Somehow, Piroska still finds time to play for the club’s Over-40s!
