After a couple of weekends that have been interrupted by rain, Manly Warringah Football Association is looking forward to seeing its teams in action during the 2024 Football NSW State Cup.
Action in this competition commenced on Sunday May 5, but due to the recent weather, this upcoming Sunday looks like being the first State Cup match day of the year which will be unaffected by pitch closures.
Manly Warringah FA CEO David Mason is looking forward to the variety of competitive experiences provided by participation in this statewide competition.
“The Football NSW State Cup competition is a great way for our clubs and players to test themselves against fellow grassroots clubs from all over NSW. MWFA clubs have a rich history of success in the State Cup, winning five titles in 2023, and we wish all of our teams the best of luck in the 2024 competition.”
There are fifteen diffferent age groups, ranging from 13 Girls & 13 Boys to Over 35 Men, and there is at least one MWFA team participating in every category! We look forward to seeing our teams progress in the competition, which culminates with the Finals Day, scheduled for Sunday 14 July.
