It’s an exciting time in local football and we’re looking forward to Men’s Premier League Round 19 – there’s plenty to play for at both ends of the table!
Pittwater RSL moved into first place with a Round 18 away win over CC Strikers. However, their next opponents are Harbord, who are undefeated in their last six games. With Pittwater fighting for the title and Harbord battling to stay out of the bottom two, everything points to a fascinating game at Kitchener Park.
Manly Vale are currently in tenth and looking to capitalise on any dropped points from the teams directly above them on the table. Next up for Vale is a meeting with Narrabeen at David Thomas Reserve, and Narrabeen will be keen to regain top spot after having the bye last weekend.
Lionel Watts Oval will be the venue for a clash between two teams trying to end winless runs. Wakehurst know victory is a must if they are to have any chance of making the finals, and CC Strikers need three points to keep their title hopes alive.
Mosman are showing excellent form, with three wins and a draw in their last four games. They travel to Beacon Hill Reserve, where they will face a Beacon Hill side looking to get back in the winner’s circle after two consecutive defeats.
Finally, BTH Raiders earned a morale-boosting 2-1 victory over Wakehurst on the weekend. BTH make the trip to Grahams Reserve and will try to keep that momentum going against Brookvale, who have plenty of motivation as the three teams above them on the ladder are within reach.
