All Tied Up at The Top

WPL Vale v Seaforth 1stMay2022-0649

It is shaping up to be a close competition for the Women’s Premier League with Manly Vale and Seaforth now equal first after commencing the second half of the competition last Sunday.

Following a 3-1 victory for Manly Vale last Sunday against round 1 opponents Mosman and a 1-1 draw for Seaforth against BTH, both teams remain undefeated and are sitting at the top of the table on 23 points only separated by goal difference.

As the weekend and round 11 approaches, Manly Vale will be looking to step three points ahead of Seaforth with a win against BTH on Sunday whilst Seaforth will be eagerly waiting on the side-line having drawn the bye.

However, it won’t be an easy match for Manly Vale with BTH currently sitting in third place and looking for revenge after a 5-0 loss to Manly Vale back in round 2.

Wakehurst follow close behind on the ladder only separated from BTH by goal difference. Taking on Brookvale this weekend Wakehurst will be hoping for a shift in the ladder and secure third spot.

This Sunday will also see a middle of the table clash at Warriewood Valley Sportsground at 3pm between Pittwater and Beacon Hill whilst over the bridge Mosman will host Manly Allambie in their attempt to secure their second win of the season.

Will Manly Vale and Seaforth remain undefeated at the top of the table for the rest of the season or will the second half of the 2022 season write a different story?
