The Socceroos take on Saudi Arabia in the next World Cup Qualifier on Thursday night (November 11) and for the first time in 30 years the squad contains TWO Manly United and MWFA juniors with Gianni Stensness joining Callum Elder in the squad.
The match kicks off at 8pm on Thursday evening and the game will be broadcast LIVE on the big screen at the Manly Warringah Football Club at Cromer Park. The bistro will also be open for dinner for those keen to get something to eat before the match kicks off.
Stensness played junior football with the CC Strikers and Manly United before moving on to play in the A-League with Wellington Phoenix and Central Coast Mariners. Elder, who has already won his first cap, played his junior football at Mosman and Manly United before embarking on a career overseas.
Get behind our boys and the Socceroos as they take on Saudi Arabia in what will be a huge game on the road to Qatar.
This selection follows current striker Remy Siemsen making her debut earlier this month for the Matildas and illustrates the strength of football on the Northern Beaches.
