CURL Curl produced a performance for the ages on Saturday night, hammering a shell-shocked Seaforth 6-0 in an unforgettable grand final at Cromer Park.
Alex Hatzi, Shaun Bowden and Michael Kember all scored in the first half, and Curly were equally emphatic after the break, with Kevin Moffat, Tyson Masters and Colin Iley finding the back of the net.
Speaking at fulltime, coach Anthony Seminara was virtually beaming.
“A result like this has been brewing all year, tonight everything clicked for us,” the Curly boss said.
“It has been a difficult road for us at times the past few years, so it was great to see the boys show what they are all about on the big stage.
“Personally it was also very satisfying, but credit to the players, they were outstanding.”
Seaforth coach Jordan Lefebvre was shattered at the final whistle, simply stating ‘what can you do, they (Curly) were too good for us.”
