MWFA women's Premier League round 12 review

MOSMAN showed what they are capable of on Sunday, holding high flying Manly Vale to a 1-1 draw at Allan Border Oval.

Jemma Griffin was on target for the Whales, who shaded their opponents for large portions of the contest.

“It was a great performance from start to finish, it showed we can hold our own against the best teams in this competition,” Mosman coach Steve Neilan said.

“We knew Manly Vale came here (Allan Border Oval) to win, but we didn’t give them a chance to play…we controlled the tempo from early on.”

Other results saw Beacon Hill go top after beating Brookvale 3-1, Seaforth and Forest Killarney played out a 0-0 draw and Manly Allambie ended Wakehurst’s good recent run, chalking up a 2-0 win at Millers Reserve.
