A BRILLIANT long range strike from Andrew Jakimczuk saw Mosman stun Pittwater RSL FC 1-0 on Saturday at Kitchener.
The Whales had to dig deep, with the hosts asking plenty of questions when attacking.
“It was a fantastic result for the team, I can’t remember the last time we won away at Pittwater,” Mosman coach Josh Ayscough said.
“We had to defend long periods without the ball, we showed great fight to keep them out.”
Jakimczuk found the back of the net in the 47th minute, with his curling effort from 25 yards worthy of winning any game.
Elsewhere, Seaforth impressed in their 3-1 win over Brookvale, St Augustine’s shocked Curl Curl 3-2, Wakehurst did enough to beat Narrabeen 1-0 and CC Strikers outclassed Dee Why 2-0.
After seven rounds, Brookie, Seaforth and the Tigers are all locked on 16 points at the top of the table.
