Manly United defeated the Manly Warringah Football Association Select XI 5-0 in an entertaining game at Cromer Park last night.
Claudia Cholakian scored a first half brace to send Manly United on the road to victory in a match that was played in front of a healthy crowd.
The annual match was a tighter affair in 2019 with Manly Uniteds fitness allowing them to overcome the local girls with two late goals after both sides played some good football.
The MWFA girls went into the match with confidence after defeating a Northern Suburbs Select XI 3-0 the previous week.
The local girls will now start preparing for the MWFA Premier League, which kicks off on April 7 while the Manly United girls face off against Macarthur Rams in the opening match of the season at Cromer Park on March 10.
