Last year more than 1,600 people attended the Sydney FC v Melbourne Victory W-League clash in driving rain with a larger crowd expected for the 2018 clash between the Sky Blues and Adelaide United.
This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the strength and passion of the female football community on the Northern Beaches and we thank Sydney FC for bringing a game to Cromer Park for the second year in succession, said MWFA and Manly United CEO David Mason.
Female football continues to grow and what a great way for the girls to watch their Matildas heroes like Lisa de Vanna, Caitlin Foord and Chloe Logarzo in action than right here at Cromer Park in a competitive W-League game.
Our female participation numbers at grassroots level in the MWFA competitions (5,400) are incredibly strong and our elite program at Manly United is amongst the best in Australia so I have no doubt Cromer Park will be buzzing on December 13.
