MWFA women's Premier League round 16 review

WPL-BrookvsAvalon22July2018-1562-sml

BROOKVALE coach Colin Euers has conceded his team has run out of steam following Sunday’s 4-0 defeat against Beacon Hill.

After beating the same opposition 3-0 midweek, the Blues had every reason to feel optimistic.

Vince Vescio’s ladies were having none of it, with a hat-trick from Jess Wootton sealing the result.

“It was a tough day for us at the office,” Euers said.

“We looked tired, especially in the second half.

“Injuries are really beginning to take their toll.”

Wakehurst now lead the standings after their hard fought 2-0 victory over Manly Vale.

Avalon have left their run too late, but showed what they are capable of after outclassing Forest Killarney 8-0.

Seaforth and Manly Allambie had the bye.
