FKFC women refreshed and ready

AT THE start of the year, plenty of people would have scoffed if you suggested Forest Killarney would beat Brookvale twice in 2017.

Glenn Wood’s ladies can achieve the impressive feat in Sunday’s game against the Blues at Melwood.

“We managed to beat them (Brookie) 5-4 at their place,” the Forest Killarney boss said.

“They are a great side who have hit a bit of form recently.

“I still think we can get a result, my girls are refreshed after having last weekend off (Avalon were playing in the State Cup).

“These are the games you love – you know you will be tested.”

Other games see Avalon take on Manly Vale at Careel Bay, Seaforth host Wakehurst and Beacon Hill play Harbord Seasiders United.
