AVALON continue to turn heads in the ladies MWFA Premier League, this time beating Brookvale 2-0 at Graham Reserve.
Rachel Marr scored a brace for the Reds, with coach Larry Bates a happy man on Sunday afternoon just before 5pm.
“Brookie are always tough, so we will take a win at their place,” he said.
“It was also a good response after our midweek game (loss to Wakehurst).
“Our girls have bought into my coaching system and are playing well.”
Other games saw Beacon Hill blitz Wakehurst 5-2, Forest Killarney moved into the top four after shading Seaforth 2-0 and Manly Vale showed their class in a 3-0 triumph against Harbord Seasiders United.
