DEE Why rediscovered that winning feeling on Saturday, beating CC Strikers 3-0 at Dee Why Oval.
A week earlier the Swans were humiliated 6-2 by St Augustine’s and coach Stuart Nairn demanded a swift response from his troops.
Following a scoreless first half, goals from Stuart Bergman, Dan Talbot and Matt Cooper secured three points on home soil.
“The first half was a bit of an arm wrestle, so at halftime I stressed the need for patience,” Nairn said.
“We started the second half well and were rewarded.
“I wasn’t happy after the Saints game, so it was good to see the lads bounce back.”
Elsewhere, Adam Foti scored all four goals in Narrabeen’s 4-2 win over Manly Vale.
It was the Beenies’ first win of 2017.
All other games were postponed to be replayed at a later date.
