Womens Premier League | Round 18 Review

MANLY Vale B coach Roland Winter has praised the battling nature of his team following their 4-0 defeat against Manly Vale A on Sunday.

Hammered by injuries and other players travelling overseas, a number of the girls have been playing Reserve Grade before backing up at 3pm the past few weeks.

“It hasn’t been easy, but we can’t do much about it,” Winter said.

“I’ve been happy with the effort, those we are available give their best, and that is all you can ask.”

Elsewhere, Avalon shocked Wakehurst 2-1 and Seaforth versus Beacon Hill finished 0-0.

Brookvale, who had the bye, take on the Tigers in a rescheduled game tomorrow night at Melwood.

On Thursday, Seaforth do likewise against Avalon.
