THE Manly Warringah Football Association will be represented by three teams at next Sunday’s State Cup finals.
Seaforth (12s boys), Forest Killarney (13s boys) and Wakehurst (18s boys) all won through to their respective deciders at Valentine Sports Park on July 17, once again demonstrating how strong football is on the peninsula.
Katherine Williams, who is the manager of Seaforth 12/1s, is almost as excited as the playing group.
“It has been a fantastic journey so far,” she said.
“Everyone has bought into the process, some games have been on the other side of Sydney very early on a Sunday morning, but that has been fun – who doesn’t love a road trip ?
“No matter what happens, we are very proud the boys have got this far, it is a magnificent achievement.”
Seaforth take on Hornsby RSL Youth from the Northern Suburbs Association.
They look hard to beat, with their game day clips on YouTube well worth a look.
Forest Killarney’s talented 13/1s will start favourites against Connells Point Rovers FC from the St George Association, while Wakehurst’s 18s play Georges River from the heart of the Sutherland shire.
All games are to be staged at Parklea, the home of Football NSW, from 9am across multiple fields.
Good luck to all players, coaches and managers.
