Mosman FC are flying high in the MWFA Premier League Women’s competition this season.

The Whales remain undefeated after six rounds and are now just one point behind ladder leaders Manly Allambie with a game in hand.

On the weekend they powered to a 2-0 victory over Brookvale at Grahams.

“It’s probably the best football we played all season,” Mosman captain Hannah Grimble said.

“Coming off last year where it was definitely a building season for us, we recruited some new players, and I think we’ve finally hit that point where we’re now playing as a team and we definitely saw that today.

“It was so good to see our entire squad come together. Like a lot of the other teams we’ve had quite a few injuries, but I think the wet weather (last week) worked in our favour and everyone’s recovering pretty quickly now.”

Grimble is extremely confident the club, who were only promoted to the Women’s Premier League in 2019, will be right up there come the business end of the season.

In other results, Pittwater continued their march up the table with a 1-0 win over Beacon Hill, Manly Allambie confidently dispatched Wakehurst 4-0 while their neighbours Manly Vale prevailed in a 4-3 epic against Seaforth.
