It’s a mammoth weekend for football across the Northern Beaches, with finals, league titles and plenty of last-round action on the agenda.
On Saturday, 24 Junior Mixed teams will battle it out in semi finals across six age groups, with a coveted place in next weekend’s Grand Finals up for grabs.
Across the rest of the weekend, thousands more players will take to the field for the final round of our Junior Women’s, Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s winter competitions. Some teams have already wrapped up their League Championship, while for many others, one final game could determine whether their season continues into the finals.
There’s plenty happening at the top of our local competitions too. A huge congratulations to Forest Killarney FC, who have made history securing the Men’s Premier League title, while the Women’s Premier League goes right down to the wire, with tomorrow’s results set to decide whether Pittwater RSL FC or ABH United FC finishes on top.

And at Beaches football HQ, there’s another great reason to get your football fix.
Cromer Park will host the final home games of the season for Manly United’s Senior Men on Saturday and Senior Women on Sunday, providing two opportunities to watch our local players who compete at the highest level of NPL football.
There’s also plenty on the line for the Senior Men, who head into Saturday’s clash sitting sixth and riding an impressive nine-game unbeaten run. With finals football in their sights, Head Coach Vladimir Knežević has called on the Beaches community to get behind the boys for one last big push at home.
For our younger footballers in particular, it’s a chance to watch, learn and be inspired by players competing at the level they may one day hope to reach themselves. Many of today’s Manly United players began their own football journeys at local grassroots clubs before being selected into the representative pathway and progressing through the ranks. For the next generation watching from the sidelines, it’s a reminder of where their own football journey could take them.
So, if you’re playing football this weekend, make it count! Work hard, play fair, respect your opponents and officials – and most importantly, enjoy being out there with your teammates.
