With Forest Killarney and Pittwater taking victories in Tuesday nights men’s Challenge Cup semi finals the stage is now set to see who will be named Challenge Cup champions.
The women’s Challenge Cup finalists were decided back in May when BTH defeated Mosman 2-0 and Seaforth advanced to the final following a 3-1 win over Manly Allambie.
Wednesday 29th June will see Cromer Park Field 1 host the women’s final at 7:30pm. With Seaforth currently sitting equal first with a game in hand in the women’s premier league and BTH only four points behind the Cup final will be one entertaining match of football. A draw between the two teams in the main competition only two weeks ago will further add to the intensity of the evening with both having something to prove.
The following Tuesday, 5th July, will see a top and bottom of the table clash as Forest Killarney take on the undefeated Pittwater for the men’s Challenge Cup title at 7:30pm on Cromer Park Field 1.
Forest Killarney secured their spot on Tuesday night with a 2-1 win over St Augustine’s whilst Pittwater held on with a 1-0 victory over Wakehurst.
With Forest Killarney currently sitting at the bottom of the table in the men’s premier league they will be fighting for the underdog story and be out to prove themselves against the second placed Pittwater.
So who will be named the Challenge Cup Champions? Come down to Cromer Park to find out!
