Now that we are up and running for season 2021 I’d like to thank all of our registered players for returning to their club after the disrupted 2020 season and welcome more than 2000 new players to the MWFA family.
We talked a lot last year about trust and unity to get us through and we should all give ourselves a pat on the back for the results that we have achieved.
More than 19,500 players, an increase of more than 1,100 total players, which is a record number of players.
The 2021 season is shaping as the best ever on the Northern Beaches and that comes down to the passion of our players and the hard work and dedication of the volunteers at the 17 clubs.
I’d also like to thank the volunteer committee members from our clubs who assist the office staff to put almost 20,000 players into teams and competitions. It is no easy task and couldn’t be done without the spirit of cooperation and hard work of our entire football community.
It was fantastic to see the smiles on the faces of kids last weekend in my travels around a few of the grounds because ultimately that is what we are all about.
