MWFA and NSFA (Northern Suburbs Association) will launch an Annual “Champions Day” challenge, giving our Division One Champions an added incentive at the end of the current season.
The Football NSW Champion of Champions Tournament has been cancelled this season due to the COVID-19 disruption pushing the season to the October Long Weekend.
The Champions Day matches will be split over Cromer Park and the NSFA headquarters at North Turramurra and be played on October 10 and 11.
This year Champions Day will replace the “Champion of Champions”, but the Champions Day will remain into the future as a good trial match for all teams playing in the Champion of Champions.
MWFA and NSFA teams will be playing for a Champions Day trophy where every result will count towards an overall Association winner, which will be crowned after the last game on the Sunday and a perpetual trophy handed to the winning Association.
Below is the schedule and some information about the Champions Day.

There are a few age groups that we cannot schedule in 2020;
- NSFA does not have girls U13 and U15 competitions
- The NSFA Men’s Premier League competition doesn’t finish until the end of October
- NSFA have a Women’s O35s competition.
The Men’s Premier League will be introduced in 2021 and we will work with NSFA to come up with a solution for the MWFA WU13 and WU15 and Over W40’s Champions.
