MWFA women's Premier League round 9 preview

fkfc women

LAST year was a brutal introduction to life in the MWFA women’s Premier League for Forest Killarney.

Plenty of their players could have been excused for not returning in 2019, but captain-coach Hannah Bromley stressed the need for patience.

Clearly the girls in bottle green listened.

“To see seven players return in pre-season was massive,” Bromley, a former Kiwi international, said this week.

“We are improving each game, holding our own in what is a very tough competition.

“I think to be sitting on the cusp of the top four has been a huge effort, and I can see the belief growing.

“Hopefully we can keep it going against Beacon Hill this Sunday (at Melwood Oval), it is another big test for the girls.”

Elsewhere from 3pm, Brookvale host Wakehurst, league leaders Manly Vale host noisy neighbours Manly Allambie and Mosman entertain Seaforth.
