Football4All Gala Day Debutants

Gala Day Team 2019

Last Sunday was a new beginning and great example of inclusion in sport as the Manly United Football4All kids played in their first tournament at Valentine Park.

For most of the Kids it was their first competitive game of Football, so obviously it was met with a mixture of nerves and excitement.

Our team of volunteers from Active Opportunities have been working towards this point for a couple of years as the kids have grown in confidence and ability during their Saturday morning sessions.

The kids played in three games, which resulted in a 1-2 Loss to Balmain, a 2-2 Draw with Hills District, and in our final game a well-constructed 4-1 win over Wagga Wagga.

The sportsmanship, inclusion, energy and excitement on the day was truly inspirational.

Thank you to all our Active Opportunities Volunteers, Football NSW, Manly United, MWFA and our Sponsors Bendigo Bank Freshwater Branch.

Special thanks to head coach Paolo Sussanna and the young men from Manly United for helping with the coaching! Sammy, Ollie, Seth and Alessandro, you are a credit to your club & families!
