MWFA v Manly United U18 select XI
The annual U18 MWFA Select XI v Manly United match has been confirmed for Wednesday 31 July at Cromer Park. Kick off will be at 7.30pm.
The MWFA Select team will be coached by Curl Curl U18/1 coach Aaron Kemp and Pittwater U18/1 coach Dean Harding with the local boys going into the match as defending champions.
The Manly United side, coached by Danny Beauchamp, has been progressing strongly in the NPL1 competition, sitting mid-table with a young group of players, many of whom are still eligible to play U18s again in 2020.
Kemp, who has played a part in Curl Curls junior coach education program, was excited about the game.
Its exciting to be able to work with Dean to put together our best 18-year-olds and take on Manly United, he said. There are some good young players out there in the U18 competition and some are already playing Premier League so it will be a great match.
The MWFA Select XI will be named in the next week.
