MANLY Vale have adopted the favourites tag with caution ahead of Sunday’s Cup final against Forest Killarney at Cromer Park.
Vale, co-coached by Roland Winter and Tony Bruzzano, are always well organised, but with Larry Bates at his scheming best in the opposing dug out, anything is possible.
“I think it will be an evenly contested match, being a Cup final, neither team will give an inch,” Winter said.
“Forest (Killarney) are hard to break down and are disciplined.
“They also have the advantage of training on a synthetic pitch at Melwood.
“We respect them, but our focus is sticking to what we do well..hopefully we end up with the trophy.”
Kick-off is 3.30pm on Cromer 1 with both teams available due to first round byes in the State Cup.
