BEACON Hill showed nerves of steel to win the women’s MWFA Premier League title on Sunday afternoon at Melwood Oval.

Hearts were in mouths when Seaforth scored first, but Vince Vescio’s squad quickly composed themselves.

Ayse Adalis, Jess Wootton and Sam Lee all found the back of the net, giving Beacon Hill a 3-1 win, much to Vescio’s delight.

“It was a heart attack kind of season at times,” he said.

“I was definitely nervous when Seaforth went 1-0 up, I thought it may have been one of those days, we had to show our character.

“We regrouped and got the job done, I’m happy for the girls, they deserve it.”

Elsewhere, Manly Allambie secured second spot after beating Forest Killarney 2-0, Avalon shocked Wakehurst 4-0 and Brookvale beat Manly Vale 1-0.
