FOREST Killarney Football Club have secured the services of former W-League starHannah Bromley in a massive boost for their rising stars across a handful of age groups.

The 31-year-old, who played professionally in Europe and represented New Zealand at the 2007 Women ‘s World Cup, will also don the boots in a player/coach role in the women’s Premier League.

“I live down at Manly and had a contact at Forest Killarney, so after meeting with the club I was always going to help out,” Bromley said.

“I really enjoy working closely with kids, my fulltime job is training in 1 v 1 sessions and also delving into nutrition and psychology.

“The facilities are great at Melwood Oval, at the moment I’m up there twice a week from 4pm on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

“The kids have been very receptive to my coaching methods and I’m really looking forward to the season.”

Bromley said the aim at Premier League level is to be competitive in 2018.

“I don’t much about thecompetition, but I am sure plenty of good players are running aroundwith most squads,” she said.

“It will probably be a rebuilding year for us, I guess we will have to wait and see.

“I do know (Avalon coach) Larry Bates well from my Northbridge state league days, I’m surehis team will be very organised.”

Inan official capacity, Bromley has taken on a women’s mentor role with the ‘family club.’

Her Premier League squad host Seaforth this Sunday afternoon in their season opener from 3pm.
