MANLY Vale’s All Age Women moved into the semi-finals of the NSW Champion of Champions after beating Epping FC 1-0 on Sunday.
Ceri-Ann Morgan scored the winner late in the first half at Cromer Park, with co-coach Tony Bruzzano delighted with the gritty performance across 90 minutes.
“It was a tough game, I thought we kept the ball well,” he said.
“Ceri (Ann Morgan) scored a great goal and went close to getting a couple more.
“Taylor Rand and Sarah Moyer were also strong for us.
“We will look to prepare well for our next challenge this Sunday.”
Vales opponent in the final four is Albion Park SC at Cromer Park from 1.45pm.
Elsewhere last weekend, Avalons 16s girls handed Connells Point Rovers a football lesson, romping to a 9-1 win, Pittwater RSL FCs All-Age Men beat Pennant Hills 4-3 thanks to a golden goals from Sam Walling and Mosmans over-35 men blitzed Revesby Workers 12-0.
Wakehurst’s 14s girls dusted Oatley 2-0, CC Strikers’ 15 boys outclassed Sans Souci 3-0, St Augustine’s 18/1s also beat Sans Souci 3-2 and Wakehurst’s over 30 ladies outgunned Leichhardt Saints 3-0.
Forest Killarneys 12s and 14s boys are also still alive but St Augustines 13s boys, Beacon Hills 16/1s boys and CC Strikers 18s women were beaten.
