Sunday promises to be a massive day for Manly United and football on the Northern Beaches with the Manly United Mens First Grade side qualifying for the NSW NPL1 Grand Final after defeating Rockdale City Suns last Saturday night in a dramatic Preliminary Final at Cromer Park.
Manly United will now face APIA Leichhardt at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday (10 September). Kick off is 4pm.
Two weeks ago it was the womens first grade side that won the title and now the mens team will be shooting for an historic Men/Women double as the men have qualified for the NSW NPL1 Grand Final for the first time since 1995.
Saturday night was an amazing night down at Cromer Park and the sight of about 500 kids (and some enthusiastic adults) storming the pitch when Dylan Mitchell made the final save to win the penalty shoot out was fantastic.
Manly United will be putting on supporter buses to help take local football players and supporters to the game.
The buses will depart Cromer Park at 1.30pm sharp and return to the Club immediately following the match. Expected return is around 7.30pm.
The cost will be $15 per person for the bus trip, which can be paid on the day.
Anyone wanting to get on one of the buses MUST book a seat and register by THURSDAY 5pm by sending an email toreception@mwfa.com.au
Tickets for the Grand Final can be pre purchased athttps://www.eventopia.co/event/PlayStation-4-NPL-NSW-Mens-Grand-Final-Day/352565but they will also be available for purchase at the gate on match day.
