State Cup update

THE Manly Warringah Football Association has three teams pushing for a spot in the final of this weekend’s State Cup.

Pittwater RSL FC’s 14s girls take on Hornsby Heights, with Seaforth playing Fernhill FC from the South Coast Association.

Pitts club president Valentino Surjan is quietly confident the youngsters who call Kitchener Park home can progress to the big dance.

“I saw them play in their quarter-final, they were very impressive,” he said.

“They are tenacious and clinical in front of goal.

“Hopefully Seaforth win their semi-final as well, an all northern beaches final would be great.”

St Augustine’s 15/1s are also in action, needing to beat Camden Tigers from the Macarthur Association for a shot at the major silverware.

Good luck to all players.
