SEAFORTH’s ladies won their first game of the season on Sunday, edging out Brookvale 1-0 at Graham Reserve.
Kierly Wiggins scored what proved to be the winner, leaving Mitch Paterson a relieved coach at the final whistle.
“I was happy for the girls, it (win) was overdue,” he said.
“We haven’t beaten Brookie in the (Premier) league for four years, so we owed them big time.
“It got fiery at times, and I liked how we dug deep for each other.”
Other games saw Avalon thrash Beacon Hill 5-2, Wakehurst outclassed HSU 7-1 and Manly Vale remain the competition yardstick, beating Forest Killarney 4-0.
