JAKUB Sklenars golden goal in extra time saw Narrabeen FC crowned the best All Age Mens squad in the state on Sunday after winning their NSW Champion of Champions final.

In an absolute thriller at Valentine Sports Park, the Beenies won 5-4.

Josh Lawson opened the scoring, only to see West Pymble lead 2-1 at halftime.

After missing an early penalty, Sklenar made amends on 70 minutes and then fellow striker Justin Hayward made it 3-2 for Joe Santarosas team.

The winners from the Northern Suburbs Football Association refused to buckle, and despite having a man sent off, equalised again.

Narrabeens Joel Glassman looked the hero when he scored late, only to see West Pymble once again square proceedings at the death.

Sklenars second goal sparked euphoric scenes at Parklea, with skipper Mark Femia labelling the contest unforgettable.
Narrabeen (black and white) are state champions.

It was a cracking game, both teams were fantastic, he said.

To be the first Narrabeen team to be state champions is something we will always treasure.

Elsewhere, Wakehursts under-18s thumped Mt Pritchard 5-0, Forest Killarneys under-13s outclassed Wahroonga 4-0, the girls under-14s from Avalon went down to the Cronulla Seagulls 3 – 1 and the Marton Hammers FC defeated Wakehurst 1 – 0 in the Women’s Over 30 final.
