MANLY Vale A will work on set piece defending this week at training after losing 4-1 to Brookvale on Sunday at Graham Reserve.
Brookie scored three goals from corners delivered to the far post, with Laura Euers finishing with a hat-trick after nodding home on three occasions.
Danielle Vescio scored the Blues fourth after Jo Greco gave Manly Vale A the lead.
“No excuses, Brookie deserved the result,” Manly Vale A coach Tony Bruzzano said.
“We will bounce back.”
Elsewhere, Avalon beat Manly Vale B 2-0 and Wakehurst versus Seaforth finished 1-1.
Beacon Hill, who had the bye, are still the league leaders.
